Is it the companion or the main event?
I found the first two seasons of House of Cards to be incredibly compelling on their own. Without this podcast I'm not sure I would have made it through season 3. By the end, I watched the show so I could listen to the pod cast. Brooke Gladstone plays both fan and critic. Some guests are great. Others are less so. Brooke is the show. Brooke Gladstone is the greatest form of journalist: one who provides value regardless of the subject matter. I don't watch House of Cards at all, yet this show kept me rapt from start to finish.
