Good podcast, could use some editing
Overall, I'd say this is a very helpful, informative podcast. However, it could use some editing. There are numerous 40-minute episodes that could easily be 30. Many of the guests are friends, associates, or former students of the host(s), and while they all seem to be having a blast catching up on old times, this occasionally leads to the screenwriting discussions being lead far astray. The 10-minute exercises are helpful and a nice touch. Writers must know formula and convention before they can break it. And for the sake of us who no longer want to suffer through 10 months of watching formulaic dreck up on the big screen, let's hope Mrs Alessandra continues to help writers do just that.Read full review »
