Thank you for this fascinating podcast. Intimate and lovingly put together which gives real insight into the creative minds discussed.

This podcast is one that I should absolutely love, one that feels like it was made for me…but… The person who cuts in (narrating and leaving their voice and laughter in) during the interviews ruins it. Unless you hear the raw footage no one can say for certain, but I feel just a bit more creative...Read full review »

A genuine delight to have a few more laughs and observations with Peter Bogdanovich. His commentaries have been incredible, invaluable company over the years—-and always inspiring. The conversations between filmmakers in “One Handshake Away” are a well-produced gift of a podcast. A final visit...Read full review »

I’ve enjoyed the interviews tremendously, but there is a woman with an AI generated voice, it sounds like, doing narration, which is a little off-putting.

It looks like the Tarantino podcast has been adjusted. Nice catch!

Brilliantly done! It is engaging, a master class. Louise Stratten is superb!

I am enjoying these historical conversations. However not knowing that Leo was playing not Jake Cahill but Caleb D in the QT episode is a disappointing error of lack of knowledge of cinema by the host.

Over a third of ep1 is narration, clips + commentary on the films Tarantino and PB are discussing. Some of that narration is solid in its analysis and insight, but there’s too much plot summation and it cuts into the interview too often. Too many clips of films. The interview has no flow, it’s...Read full review »

Engaging and illuminating conversations between directors about their films, the actors in them and even their own lives. Really well written, edited and produced. The conversations with the present and past directors and film clips flow seamlessly. The podcast makes you want to watch/rewatch...Read full review »

Amazing podcast. Wish there was more. Great insights and conversation. Bogdanovich’s vintage interviews are essential listening for lovers of old Hollywood. I’d never heard Hitchcock so uncensored.

This show really grabbed my attention more than I expected it to. The format itself is unique, contrasting Peter’s present-day conversations with his old interviews with directors from decades ago. But the best part for me are the candid interviews from back in the day, giving insight on what...Read full review »
