If you’re not one of the top 1% that oil wealth scion Tom Rivett Carnac thinks/feels we all must be in, understand that the shallow nostrums offered by this apologia for capitalism are not the answer. Revolt is. And the TEDified O&Oers of this world are the very enemy we must...Read full review »

Thank you for producing and hosting this brilliant podcast. It is so informative and inspiring for our collective journey to a better future. A few episodes back I heard the question mooted as to whether to interview the new Shell CEO. I don’t know if a decision was made but my vote would be...Read full review »

Like listening in on a conversation by three brilliant friends with up-to-the minute facts and information on all of the most pressing issues and events on climate and environment. This podcast goes deep. It is equal parts fun and fury. Great interviews, engaging hosts, lots of information. If...Read full review »

I was writing this for a survey, and realized it was really a podcast review: In the past 2 years, I have moved from despondency about climate change, to an excitement for action. Outrage + Optimism is a huge part of this, along with Molly Wood's Sunday "VC Sunday School" podcast...Read full review »

I love listening to this podcast and as a climate advocate in Bhutan esp. working within the space of climate literacy, action and young people - I derive much joy and share the same frustrations expressed and channeled so eloquently and realistically in this podcast. I stopped listening after the episode given to a friendly chat with Zac Goldsmith, someone who ran a racist election campaign. Until then I found the podcasts regularly informative but, despite the best efforts of Christina, too often a presenter-fuelled Britchat, and I say this as a Brit.

A real roller coaster of outrage and optimism this episode. I love Tom’s optimism around the investor “pact” BUT the desperate issues brought up—the lack of support for Pakistan, the lack of support for developing countries, the announcement by the fossil of a Business Secretary in the UK, says...Read full review »

When I feel bleak about the future I listen to this. Joyous and radical statement from this episode: just 2% of global GDP could significantly address the climate crisis. Christiana Figueres is inspiring as ever, and I enjoy the narratives from Tom and the creative input from Paul. To all of the...Read full review »

As I like so many, no doubt including your team, have really struggled this year to hear, take in or believe any optimism this year. I want to thank you all for this most recent episode. Infuriating on the “outrage” side of the house and uplifting on the “optimism” side, this podcast does a superb job of educating its listeners on the damage mankind is doing to its own habitat AND the cooperative efforts to undo that damage. How To Feed The World Without Devouring The Planet was an exemplary episode in many ways. But one environmentally friendly alternative was rather conspicuously absent. Never thought it would find a place among my other weekly listens, but “Outrage and Optimism” somehow broke through and got me hooked. I certainly care a whole lot about the topic (action on climate change) but listening to an hour-long episode each week at first seemed a bit much. This podcast,...Read full review »
