A ghost story with heart
I binged the whole season in two days. The narrator is a wonderful actress, so natural and strange and sweet. The writing is phenomenal - conversational, poetic at times, suspenseful, even humorous. The story is a slow burn. The sound effects are sparse and effective. At one point you can hear what sounds like a heart beating in the background. Creepy. You learn what palimpsest means in the third episode, I believe, but the meaning changes episode to episode as the story unravels. I don’t believe in ghosts, but that may just be because I can’t see them. Can you?

More reviews of Palimpsest
I was under the impression this was to be horror or thriller stories. Turns out it’s amateur accent hour instead. Stories were lackluster and reaching. Content was so uninteresting I struggled but based on other reviews I figured I’d keep trying. That’s a bunch of time I’ll never get back

This is hands down one of the best podcast I’ve listened to! The serial stories remind me a lot of American Horror Stories, and the production is off the charts. I’m already recommending this to all my friends. So, if you’re looking for a new audiodrama , I strongly suggest giving this a go!

Fun, new podcast mixing contemporary storytelling with an old-school radio hour feel. The delivery thus far is light and modern, but with just the right amount of ominous foreshadowing to set the stage for a really good ghost story. I'm hooked! Can't wait to see where the story goes.Read full review »
