Unbelievably good
I wish I could give this podcast six or seven stars, because it is so far above the standard for even a really good podcast. I listen to quite a few horror podcasts but, aside from finding them interesting, they never unnerve or seriously affect me. This one did. Season 1 of Palimpsest is one of the best executed ghost stories I have ever read or listen to, and Season 2 is just as compelling. The writing is superb, the acting is excellent and the lack of sleep from staring anxiously in the dark was annoying, but worth it. This is not a podcast that goes for cheap scares. It builds slowly, with many layers, and Season 1 features a protagonist who is complex and sympathetic. Do your self a favor. Listen to this as soon as you can ... but make sure you can afford to miss a few Zs.

I liked some of the stories and disliked others. If you don’t like what you’re hearing make sure to check out a different season. Overall such a great show though.

The mic also picks up a lot of distracting and uncomfortable noises from the actor’s mouth, which was terrible. Cool idea but...Read full review »

I don’t listen to many podcasts, however a friend recommended Palimpsest to me and I’ve been hooked since episode one. I flew through season one in a day and look forward to each new episode. I would definitely recommend!
