Rosemary and Elamin really mesh well and make a good duo. I’m not sure why CBC stopped producing episodes when it has the same reviews as At Issue.

I used to love this podcast. Now that CBC has temporarily cancelled it they’re using it to advertise other random podcasts. I was still subscribed in case they brought it back. But I think I’ll cancel now as this is very annoying.

Please bring back party lines. We need more Rosemary Barton and Elamin Abdelmahmoud content! There is still lots to cover!

No more Party Lines!! My favourite podcast ends :(

Rosemary complains way too much, and the hosts don’t cover the elections objectively. This podcast is way too pro liberal
Bhknoccout via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 09/09/21
This is echo chamber nonsense. If you have ever voted for anyone but the LPC this is unlistenable.
J. Oatmon via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 09/06/21
As far as I’m concerned they’ve dropped the ball on election coverage by not outlining the parties platforms. Not enough thorough analysis. Why not have experts that can articulate they’re stance on an issue?

With the next federal election around the corner, I’m grateful for Party Lines. I have some issues with how other shows are so stiff. My brain just can’t sit through a half hour of those shows. I can’t even sit through the talks the leaders have, they’re posturing and I don’t like it. But I can...Read full review »

I really love this podcast. For me, it is one of the only politics podcast I have come across where it educates their audience with Canadian politics and not American (even though this podcast does cover some major American politics which is totally fine because that content is minimal). It is...Read full review »

As an immigrant and someone who is proud to be involved in law enforcement and work closely with RCMP I am appalled by the this wokeness that is only dividing Canada! CBC turned into a woke self loathing irrelevant propaganda machine that is a sad outcome of the new political correctness. Canada...Read full review »

I am frankly surprised of the little discussion surrounding the SJAM building, within the Parliamentary Precinct.

Look forward to the show. Interesting insights and interplay between the two hosts. I would suggest not quite so much giggling because it takes away from the professionalism of the presentation. Best regards Dubliner 87

Although this podcast was suppose to be temporary, please don’t stop!! The dynamic between the hosts is awesome, keeps you laughing while also providing important and insightful cometary on weekly politics and events!! Keep it up Rosemary and Elamin!!!

I love listening to Rosemary. She’s so well spoken and explains things so well. Both hosts have a good dynamic and I look forward to this one every week. Thanks, guys!

Are we really so bored of Canada that a podcast dedicated to Canadian politics must resort to American politics instead? I really loved this podcast when it first came out - finally a podcast with a fresh take on Canadian politics! The hosts are both awesome and their banter is amazing....Read full review »

Annoyed by the US content that is literally the exact same every week as The Daily. There isn’t enough Canadian journalism - stop covering the states! This is paid for by Canadian tax dollars so silly

Really enjoy the two hosts and their understanding of the issues. Completely disagree with comments regarding bias as I don’t see it at all. I feel they really try to see all sides and I compliment them when they agree or disagree with policy and outline why they have that opinion. One of the...Read full review »

I really appreciate the hosts’ realness and humor, as well as depth with the content, as they discuss the issues. It really helps me to get an idea of what’s going on in the country. I especially enjoyed the January 20 2021 episode, where they took some time to talk about the mental health side...Read full review »

I like the format and content that the hosts brought.

This podcast could be so much more. Both hosts are on their game when discussing content. But more and more they try too hard on making jokes, talking about their own lives, especially Rosemary Barton. It is just weird and takes a lot of the podcast time from actual content.
ML-Ott via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/15/21
This is entertaining, but the bias of the hosts to support the LIberal Party of Canada in all situations is becoming evident. Rename it to “Rosemary defends Justin”. It’s entertaining to watch journalistic standards evaporate at least.
DustinStretch via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/11/21
I love these two hosts and I really enjoy the way these two bring dry humour into politics. I listen to a lot of political and news podcasts, but this is the one I look forward to every week.

I really enjoy the format of this podcast. It’s easy to listen to and gives fresh perspectives and insights. The tone of the podcast feels more conversational than news which is nice!

CBC is the public broadcaster for CANADA, the USA already has PBS, so how about you folks concentrate on CANADA!!! That is what you get PUBLIC funding for! We already are awash in a tsunami of everything USA daily, we don’t need our PUBLIC BROADCASTER giving us even more of it!! Please CBC, we...Read full review »

I typically like this podcast however, as the federally owned network why are you covering US politics? There is enough stations that cover the US election and politics and this should really be focusing on Canadian politics.

I don’t think this podcast could be more one-sided and poorly researched... very disappointing and frustrating to listen to.

Well balanced opinions. Love hearing both of their opinions and unique point of view when it comes to politics. So professional and educated on the topics. Love this show.

Love this podcast because of its relevance to Canadian politics packaged in a format that is easy to digest:) My only request is that you ask for feedback through channels other than twitter for those of us that don’t tweet.

Really enjoy the podcast - you are both very knowledgeable and engaging. And the pro Liverpool bias makes it all even better!!

I’m glad it’s back, focusing on The Canadian political landscape. It fills the niche perfectly. Rosemary and Elamin are great together.

Informative and entertaining - fills a much-needed gap for concise, impactful discussions on Canadian politics. Really love the energy between Rosemary and Elamin!

Should be called, “Liberal Party PR” as Rosemary Barton is clearly a Liberal Party member.
Randy Bobanski via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 03/01/20
I am legitimately astonished by how blatant Rosemary Barton is about her support for the Liberal Party. At least Elamin (the reason I tuned in) keeps it factual and interesting. But literally *every single sentence* out of Barton's mouth is a LPC talking point.Read full review »

Pretty good but they don’t share enough of the insider-ish perspective I was hoping for when I subscribed. It seems like I hear too much of their personal feelings on the news. I am thrilled to see a Season 2! I think this is one of the most informational yet highly entertaining Canadian podcasts I’ve happened upon related to politics - not dry at all! I look forward to Thursdays as a result!

So glad you’re continuing past the election. Thoughtful analysis that is honest while also managing not to feel too heavy. I look forward to Thursday mornings and getting caught up on national politics.

Honestly how can you talk about the electoral reform debate as if the opposition parties didn’t completely sewer the process? Cons wanted no change and NDP wanted pie-in-the-sky changes. If the Libs had made changes despite the opposition, they’d have been smeared as undemocratic.
