Good basic podcast
I like this podcast, it gives me the chance to brush up on my philosophy and try to keep philosophers and their work put netaly on the shelves in my brain. the only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is because the section of the podcast with the critique of the philosophers could be much longer and through.Read full review »

I love this podcast. Sometimes Nigel presents ideas so fast that you can't digest the concept before he moves on (not easy listening subjectmatter). Keep your rewind button handy or just listen to them 2 or 3 times to start to understand what the philosophers he's paraphrazing are getting...Read full review »

For someone like me who has never read much philosophy before, but knows Monty Python by heart, this was an excellent series introducing in brief, lucid segments all those names I had heard about but was otherwise ignorant of. I must buy the book!

This podcast series isn't all that great. The lack of any change of tone or interest in his voice is the major negative. It just sounds like he's reading 'flash cards' he's made after making notes on his book.Read full review »
