Great
This podcast comes in twenty minute chunks explaining the basic points of a philosophical work, and any major objections to the ideas put forward. Perfect for a commute, but sometimes I find the overview a little too cursory--but perhaps that's the point.Read full review »

More reviews of Philosophy: The Classics
Nigel knows his stuff and presents here a 10-12 minute overview of a great philosophical work, each podcast. Unfortunately, he does not use punctuation whilst speaking so one sentence or paragraph flows into the next creating a relentless, and oftentimes, monotonous listening experience.

I listened to this while cleaning up mu appartment. I have an exam in philosophy in aboit 2 weeks and found this very usefull to freshen up what i've learned. If you, like me, find great interrest in philosophy but find the reading a bit brutal sometimes, then this is really great! 5 stars.

This podcast series isn't all that great. The lack of any change of tone or interest in his voice is the major negative. It just sounds like he's reading 'flash cards' he's made after making notes on his book.Read full review »
