“Before last April, I was totally ignorant when it came to anything financial/business-like, etc, and was happy to be. But when the world started falling apart, I became eager to remedy that--I wanted to know if I would be affected by the financial crisis, and why. Between This American Life & the Planet Money podcasts, while I'm not able to do much about it, I have the luxury of understanding the origin of the crisis, and I'm really grateful. My theatre degree just did not prepare me to splice & interpret the language of finance, most of the news agencies don't help much either, but this podcast is able to both explain with clarity without descending into patronization.
