Solid podcast, but could be better
First of all, this is a great, concise podcast about the economy, and I enjoy its length (about 10-25 minutes an episode). On that basis alone, I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the economy shows on This American Life. But some things about it leave something to be desired. Opening and closing music clips sometimes have an air of unprofessionalism (Snow Patrol? On NPR?). My biggest complaint is Laura Conoway. I wouldn't have an issue with her if she would speak more like a radio broadcaster and less like a middle school teacher trying to make math sound hip. She's also overly casual with the show's guests, and makes too many comments about the day-to-day mechanics of the podcast ("Roll that tape!").
