great source for the latest in astronomy news
i look forward to this podcast every week. it's one of my best sources for news on what's happened in the past week in astronomy. matt kaplan is an engaging host. he conducts good interviews with top scientists working in the field. emily lakdawalla blogs on the web site (amazing photos are often included in her posts) and always has a segment with highlights from that blog. bill nye is the executive director of the society, and has a brief message every week on the podcast. honestly, i find his delivery a bit irritating, but his perspective is interesting and i respect the work he does. there's a "random space facts" segment that can be a bit silly. finally, there is a segment on what bodies are visible in the night time sky. all in all, it's a good podcast and if you are interested in astronomy, this should be on your subscription list.Read full review »

I listen to Planetary Radio regularly. There is no better way to keep up with Space Science. I teach 6th grade science and often play portions of the show for my students. If it keeps 12 year olds entertained and fascinated you know it must be good.
