This podcast contains some of the most insightful commentary out there about the American political and news landscape. It's refreshingly blunt, witty, and intellectual. Its three hosts banter about all the angles of the week's top stories and provide a rare view into the behind-the-scenes meetings and debates that produce our news. I only wish they could put their show out on a more frequent basis, especially now, during the daily twists and turns of the 2008 campaign.Read full review »

I have tried and tried to listen to this podcast and each time I come to the conclusion that it is pointless to keep doing so and I would hope that others would as well. Oh my goodness, am I listening to Slate or to the Spawns of David Broder Podcast. These three hipsters are so knowing and cool, that they can't be bothered with the facts or looking for anything alternative to the inside the beltway, bartalk babble. I love podcasts that are nothing more than a small group of people who have good chemistry with each other, chatting about interesting stuff. In this category, the Slate Political Gabfest is the best of the best. I never miss an episode, and usually listen as soon as the episode is available.
