“The Political Gabfest is one of my three essentials (alongside NPR's morning news update and KCRW's Left, Right, and Center). If offers substantive discussions in a friendly, familiar tone. It lulls you into thinking you're actually friends with David, John, and Emily. David Plotz, in particular, is a joy for his unapologetic correctitude: he's the smartest person in the room and he acts like he knows it. More power to him!
A note for newcomers: if you happen to listen when the regular lineup is not present, wait until they are all there. With a few exceptions, fill-ins for David, John, and Emily interfere with the chemistry and make the show less enjoyable.”Read full review »
