“The topics and structure is good. But the main host sounds like an opinionated guy who, if met in prson, you'd want to punch in the mouth. Additionally, I'm hardly a prude and most podcasts I listen to are tagged explicit but this guy drops f-bombs like a carpet bombing. He proves what we were always told about swearing (it's the sign of a lazy mind). His cohort, while not nearly as off-putting is so crippled with verbal crutches (most noticeably "Gotcha!") that you start focussing on THAT more than what he's saying. Overblown, overlong (NEVER been a complaint of mine before) and overly pretentious.
UN subscribing now.
UPDATE: Apparently, upon reading the hosts of this show felt it appropraite and mature to give out my Twitter handle to their listeners on their show. Now, given the ....let's call it quality of the tweets, I'm going out on a limb and say they did not take my critique well at all. Of course, one could say that responding to a mediocre review (it IS 3 stars. It's not like I 1 starred them.) with what Opie and Anthony used to call a Pest Attack only proves every point I made. I'm not changing the star rating because I think there is a lot to like about the show. But it's evident that to the hosts anything less than total adoration is an insult of the highest order.”Read full review »
