Have you ever considered that when you feel unworthy and uncertain about yourself or your business, your clients feel that way too? Not about themselves, but about you and your ability to deliver on your promises...
This ↑ is obviously not a productive way of doing business and that's why I know that this week's show will hit home for many of you.
Many people (me included) have undercharged for their work. I used to feel a heaviness when it was time to send someone an invoice, yet I knew that my work was amazing. So, why did I feel this way?
The reason, I felt like I was taking something away from them.
Timidly charging someone for amazing work, doesn't make the work more amazing. If anything, it devalues it.
I clearly had a stunted view of abundance. So, I asked myself, how can I shift this?
Shifting my perspective of abundance happens daily and how it unfolds will look different for you than it does for me. But, to give you some idea... I read books, I record podcast shows (like this one) and share my thoughts, I talk to my husband, I talk to my friends, I write emails that sometimes feel like I'm sharing hidden thoughts. All of these things help to expand my view of abundance.
What I've come to learn... for me, abundance isn't money, a fancy car or an expensive vacation. It's the spark of creativity that happens when ideas are shared. It's the clarity that reveals itself when difficult conversations are had. It's the space that is created when big ideas are explored without judgement. It's the confidence that I see in you because I was brave enough to embody it.
When you shift your perspective and embrace how you want to experience abundance, you will activate something very powerful in someone else and that is really f*cking beautiful.
