“So happy to have found this podcast! I found My Essential Birth at the end of my first trimester. We had hired a doula very early on and was so grateful to have the resources to be able to do so. However, being a military family I think My Essential Birth is awesome for anyone who may not have those resources readily available. And even for those who do! Had we found My Essential Birth earlier on, we probably would have done both. I found so much comfort in this podcasts the last few weeks (currently 38 weeks and READY). Any last minute fears, questions, concerns or things I hadn't even thought of were addressed in these podcasts. I listen to them on my walks or while driving to work and have tried many podcasts throughout my pregnancy but only truly enjoyed this one. I love that it is so real, provides non bias information, and personal stories that are so relatable. As someone who enjoys structure and controlled chaos, pregnancy is not that and I believe knowledge is power. My NP even said the other day, "you know what you're talking about, so I am not worried about you wanting to make your own decisions".
