Interesting and excellent
Excellent introduction to psychology as a science and philosophical topic, based on the first two episodes. I am a trained psychologist. I think of the podcast as an opportunity for repetition of old learning. Based on my personal professional preferences, I had low expectations for the episode about the brain. But instead of details about neurons, circuits and structures, we got a conversation about the connection between mind and matter and a wonderful resistance to neuroscience's overconfidence as an explanatory discipline. Paul and David think all the thoughts I would think if only I were a little smarter.Read full review »

I recently started a postgraduate diploma in psychology and this podcast is simply superb covering the foundations of the discipline. The clarity of the hosts and the criticisms are thought provoking and invite the listener to reflect deeply afterwards. Thank you for making this!
