He spent a half an hour, whining about how a borderline playoff team gets more suspensions than anyone else… The other guy is pretty legit and knowledgeable. But if you’re tired of hearing about Toronto, this is not the podcast for you.

Been listening since the start, through all the ebbs and flows and host changes. Always good for a laugh and some hockey news. The recent theme music change has absolutely shaken me to my core, but the new one is a banger.

Ryan and Sean are the best. New music intro is VERY appreciated. Love the hockey trivia games they play. Better than the HHOF for sure. Good rooting interest contrasts to NHL developments as Sean is TOR/Canada, Ryan is BOS/college hockey and Greg is NJD/US national headline flavor of the month.

Old one is fantastic. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Puck soup has become my favourite hockey podcast and I listen to a lot of them. 32 thoughts is to me the most comprehensive but I like Puck Soup’s irreverent but informed take. I had to unsubscribe from the Athletic Show as it was so cringy and all the good hosts left. Pick soup filling the void...Read full review »

I had to write a review after seeing how many blowhards get mad at Sean and Ryan for not drinking every ounce of NHL kool-aid. Hockey fans are so soft (and just as dumb as Lambert claims). The pod has continued being great with this iteration, it’s too bad there’s so many Don Cherry lover boys...Read full review »

This latest episode, Ryan surprised us with the RETURN OF NATURAL TRANSITION ADD READS! I’m so happy I almost swerved off the road and had to stop. I’ve been listening to this show since 2016 and like a real JERK I have never given a rating or review (was a patron until I forgot my password and...Read full review »

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but this podcast has gotten too lousy, and I had to stop listening because of the hosts. They complain about the NHL way too much, and have such negative views about the league. Guys, that league is why you have a job. They use the same, tired old jokes...Read full review »

Here’s my impression of Ryan: “UHM *says thing* UHM UH UH UHM” These guys sound like they know what they’re talking about, but it’s more evident when you hear them cover the 5-10 teams you personally watch regularly, that’s really not the case. But they fill airtime decent in the truck, they...Read full review »

I like the podcast content wise. The only thing is that one of of the hosts speaks with this overly macho, growly wrestler voice that I find a bit silly. It’s distracting to listen to but not a deal breaker.

These guys stated Yzerman is overrated in an episode just a few weeks ago. That alone should lose you all credibility. Their opinions come off as know it alls and state it as the absolute truth. Love the show. A great mix of hockey, humour, and other random conversations.

But they should consider bring Greg back. Assuming this is where I should take this up.

This is the podcast for hockey fans that are tired of the same useless optimism and rose-colored glasses that dominate dumber fans’ bleacher report feeds. If you love the game and love thinking about it realistically, this is the voice of reason you’ve been begging for. Also, subscribe to the...Read full review »

This is the only hockey podcast I listen to and the only one I need. Informed and humorous, this podcast is helping reignite my love of the sport.

They hate the pervasive sports gambling ads and their intentionally addictive nature. Best hockey podcast very good hockey podcast. Go Coyotes and Caps!

Luckily with my job I am able to listen to hockey and or football podcasts while I am working daily. I’ve given ever major pod for both sports a shot at some point. I will say Puck Soup is a must listen if you are a hockey fan. Love that they are a little snarky to the league and certain teams at...Read full review »

Ryan and Sean’s chemistry post-Greg has improved a lot. Ryan definitely interrupts Sean less than he used to, which was a major irritation listening to the show in the first months post-Greg. Greg was always my least favourite of the three but I think he was essential to what made the show work -...Read full review »

I love every version of it. I miss Lozo and I miss Wyshynski, but Ryan and Sean are doing a great job and Puck Soup is as good as ever. Somewhat similar to the Biscuit podcast with Sean and Lozo which was great as well. Sean and Ryan, it’s about time you reflect upon the Sedins’ career!
Leksamd via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/06/22
A longtime fan of Sean’s writing, this show hits a sweet spot for my sense of humour and pop culture sensibilities. Ryan and Sean play well off each other and there is less friction with Greg being off the show.

Updated review as of 8/28/2022: Still my fav podcast hands down. I started listening during Puck Soup 2.0 (RL, SM & GW) and love it even more as Puck Soup 3.0 (sans GW) which loosened the structure a lot in a positive way. I also subscribe to their top tier Patreon page as well for additional...Read full review »

After 6 years of faithful listening, I’m out. Sean is great and I really enjoy his podcast with Ian Mendes but Lambert is insufferable, especially now that Greg is gone. He runs with the same overplayed schtick every podcast. Just painful!!

Love these guys, my favorite hockey podcast. Don’t take themselves too seriously and are honest about the sport, both the positives and the negatives.

Good pod but holy molly Lambert is just the most negative dude I’ve ever heard. Passes so much judgement and just seems to argue for the sake of arguing and comes off as just an insufferable a-hole, don’t know how the other guys work with him.

I love this cast of weirdos & can’t get enough even though I’m inundated with hockey content here in Canada.
Lo0ps via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 11/13/21
I used to follow a bunch of hockey podcasts, this the only only one I still follow. It simply has the best blend of serious and bs, even if it is a bit heavy on ‘we consume all the media that exists’.

And that’s saying something for sports show. Not sure who the target audience is, but didn’t enjoy the smug, know-it-all banter.
Sknowble1 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 10/18/21
First time long time. MVSW was great. Puck Soup 1.0 was brilliant. This version of Puck Soup isn’t quite as funny but Greg and Sean carry the show whilst Lambert complains about everything. Still the best hockey podcast.

I normally do not enjoy hockey podcasts that go into pop culture segments and if you hadn't mentioned Simple Pages when discussing Weezer’s Green Album you would have lost me.
