“Ryan and Sean’s chemistry post-Greg has improved a lot. Ryan definitely interrupts Sean less than he used to, which was a major irritation listening to the show in the first months post-Greg. Greg was always my least favourite of the three but I think he was essential to what made the show work - as lead he ensured conversations moved along quicker (Ryan can get bogged down in minutiae), that topics that needed to be discussed were discussed, and while Greg can certainly be arrogant and annoying, there was room for much more open disagreement. He just has a better sense for what works podcasting than Ryan. Plus, I feel like Sean just holds back too much whenever Ryan says something disagreeable and it feels awkward. This sounds like I’m down on Ryan but he was actually the main reason I started listening: it’s just that a little goes a long way with him. Still pretty good but no longer the best or most entertaining hockey pod.”
