Heterodoxy? More like heterodnoxious
I was hoping that we’d see some real balanced reporting from this source (Quillette). Maybe the 5 podcasts that I labored through so far weren’t the best case study but there’s too much other useful information out there for me to devote much more time in search of a better yield from particular source. It seems they are obsessed with the far left, getting caught up in discussions everyone has heard a thousand times before about outlier demographic issues and being in some instances just as one sided as their counter parts. Another echo chamber to stay clear of unfortunately. Unless you’ve never heard of these issues, in which case I would suggest listening to the Eric or Bret Weinstein’s or Sam Harris. Or if you listen to enough joe Rogan to comprehend the full scope of the problems with both sides and can objectively reconcile the ethical implications. One of the main problems I see here, as well as most discussions of these types, is that the axiomatic definitions of words and concepts are blurred; resulting in talking around, under and over each other. We’ve conceded grounded objective standards to personal subjective interpretation of experience. Don’t get we wrong there is ‘some’ grounded work here with real informational value, however if your current with the new social culture around new media it’s a bit recycled. I may be responding like a jilted despondent but I’m tired of the repetition here and am craving new ideas. It is a paramount necessity to assess and diagnose the problems we see currently in global cultures but many of us are past that and want plausible solutions not endless editorial conjecture about radical edge line arguments, that grant more and more main stream validity to extreme ideas. Rather than brushing off the bad issues we welcome them to the discussion? Just the mere fact that we’re devoting more and more platforms to these subjects means the big kids can’t sit at the table and talk honestly about real issues anymore.

Jonathan is bad at doing this. Shows without him are good. He is too supercilious and pedantic. He needs to stop or get drunk before doing podcasts. Quillette is good

Quite a coup to get Jordan Peterson. Just wish they’d ensured some decent comms quality for the call.
