“I first heard of the Radical Candor concept through my fantastic manager, who saw Kim Scott at a conference. Since then, I've been reading her blog and, most recently, subscribed to this new podcast, which I would recommend to anyone who's in a managerial or lead position.
It's a great listen because episodes are long enough to fit into your commute: no need to find an hour of time on your busy schedule to listen to this one.
The real-life stories that Scott and Laraway tell illustrate the ideas that they share, and it's always refreshing to hear about actual stories that really happened that can help a manager get ideas of what to do, and what to avoid.
Episodes end with actionable tips (Called Radical Candor Checklists), and that's always a good thing, especially when you're a new manager and there are so many things that need fixing that you just don't know when to start.
