…hit and miss. The first couple of these I listened to (30 days of night and Dead Alive) I thought were really good and I enjoyed them. I thought I’d found a new favourite pod. Unfortunately I was wrong. The next couple I listened to virtually made me angry (kill list and strangers). With kill list there were a couple of really obvious key points to the film that were missed that seemed to change the perception of the film (perhaps something is lost in translation to another country) and then I began to notice the most ridiculous judgmental opinions being aired. Stating, “Hey, cis-gender men…” before launching into a monologue…imagine someone had said, “Hey, black people…”! Weird. Such a shame as some of the critiques of the films are generally interesting and insightful…but the dragging of personal philosophical points really colours the experience. I hate being scared but I loooove to know what happens in horror movies. I’ve been in the habit of reading the Plot section on Wikipedia for several years. This show gives me that and the delightful Jeffrey and Cecil combo too *chef’s kiss*
