As someone who rarely watches movies on their free time but loves horror, this is the podcast for me! I love hearing my boys Jeffery and Cecil talk about the movies and they are so funny. I end up recording parts of the podcast as a screen recording just so I can have the clip of something funny...Read full review »

Loses a star for the guest episodes. When it’s just Cecil and Jeffrey the conversation is usually pretty insightful. When they have guests it just becomes a joke-fest, usually with Cecil over-trying to make sure the guests don’t one up him.

This podcast is the answer to a question I never asked. The fulfillment of a dream I didn’t know I had. The breakfast bagel I did not order, and yet, here it is in front of me and it is exactly what I needed at 10:15 am. Cecil and Jeffrey do a HORROR podcast. I am dead and floating among the...Read full review »

I have zero critiques, Jeffrey and Cecil have single handedly provided humor and insight into a genre I hold so dear. I’m a horror purist and a huge nightvale fan, this podcast has definitely helped me limp through 2020 and early 2021 lol

Long time listener of WTNV so I heard Jeffery advertise for this show. I was like “I like horror, so let’s check it out”. My first episode was Southbound, a film about have not seen. But the two of them throughly describe the film (and each film) and deep dives into cinematography, story analysis...Read full review »

Even if you don’t like the horror genre this podcast is great!!! It looks at horror in a different way, often how it relates to political climate at the time, or how a film’s social commentary may be years ahead. I personally love horror films and this podcast is addictive!

Very entertaining and eclectic ramble through the wide world of horror films. Recommended!

So recently I’ve been getting into horror movies and checking all my boxes on big and small classics since other podcasts of horror have been winding down(tales from the gas station and video palace). Heard of this podcast after listening to good morning night vale and have to say, after just 1...Read full review »

I saw Evil Dead when I was 12 years old, alone and in secret and did not sleep for a week. I am 50 years old now and only watched a few horror movies ever since. I am very curious however and do read a lot of books with horror elements. I thinks this is a great serie to reel me in again. I like...Read full review »

Because I probably won’t watch some of these, I quite enjoy listening to them slam through plot, occasionally giving credit where they’ve been impressed, but mostly make silly jokes about inconsistencies and over-blown scenery-chewing.

Jeffrey and Cecil know their stuff. Also makes the horror genre possible for a scaredy-cat like me. They use fun personal antidotes and are excellent story tellers. Great banter, profound insights and a true joy to listen to!

This is just so fun and delightful. I absolutely love every second of every episode. Great insight to a lot of movies I’ve never seen and ones I’ve seen many times. Great conversations. I love all of y’all! More Jasika Nicole please!! 💜💕😍

its really gigs to listen to as either background noise or actually listening to it but overall I love it

I enjoy this podcast overall, but as a horror fan, I get continually put off by their casual realtionship with facts. Nearly every episode, I hear something said that is simply not correct or is a misrepresentation. Now for some, this isnt a problem but how hard is it to click on a few wikipedia...Read full review »

This is one of my favorite current podcasts. I’m not someone who likes watching horror movies, but apparently I am obsessed with people talking about them. Jeffrey and Cecil are obviously having a lot of fun doing this podcast, and it’s that shared joy that I love.

This is so great! In the before times my friends and I would get together and watch horror films together every month! Of course we can’t safely do that now. This feels so much like watching movies with friends. I love “watching” these movie with Jeffrey and Cecil and then hearing their...Read full review »

Love this podcast, look forward to listening every Tuesday. I’m a horror fan since way back and really enjoy listening to the discussions about both those movies I’ve seen , and those I haven’t. Great artwork too, very creepy!!

I love horror. I love Jeffrey and Cecil. I love the format and randomness. I just wish that Cecil would not interrupt and run over Jeffrey so much! I really want to hear what both of them have to say, but it makes me feel uncomfortable that Cecil often dominates the conversation.

This has been super fun to watch these movies during the podcast by myself and recently virtually with friends. I love the die cast deciding our fate for the week! Full disclosure, I too would listen to Cecil read cookbooks.

I need more! I love the amazing takes that the hosts have on the films, and that they manage to speak about a movie without taking away from it if you haven’t yet seen it. And their guests are always really fun and offer really fresh perspectives.

A podcast with Cecil Baldwin reading cookbooks and reviewing a Sears catalogue from 1973 would be absolutely amazing
abipersonwholovespuns via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/04/20
This is a fun and light listen. I may be biased, truthfully I would also love a podcast that’s just Cecil Baldwin reading cook books and reviewing the sears catalog from 1973
