Although this story was very sad even being told 28 years hence, it was quite addictive, pardon the pun. Art Rascone’s voice is well suited to telling this story. Very well done. I enjoyed listening.

The beginning of EVERY SINGLE EPISODE is choppy and the transcript rarely matches up to the audio. Cool story, but make sure your stuff is quality before putting it out.

The reporting, the story telling, they painted a picture of a story that was intriguing, but wrenching and mind blowing. I couldn’t stop listening.

This is by far the best true crime podcast I’ve listened to! From the research, to the delivery of information! I can not wait to listen to more of your work!

I binged this podcast in one and half days. I did skip some of the bonus episodes, only because I was anxious to get to the regular episodes. I have so much respect for Paulette, McKay’s mom. And so much disrespect for Tannie Shannon who befriended Hilton while he was on death row. Shannon came...Read full review »

Such a heartbreaking story, beautifully told! I was captivated from start to finish. I cried on the last episode, thinking of my own 12 year son. Bless his parents hearts, I can’t imagine!

I binged this podcast, and I never binge podcasts. I had never heard of this event before so I was truly on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happened. A true roller coaster of emotions.

Interesting story. Very sad for that little boy. On a side note, I love listening to Ric Metts. I’d totally listen to a podcast if he did one. I love how genuine and real he is.

This is an excellent podcast, and brings so many strong emotions to the listener. I cannot imagine what the family went through. I would highly recommend this podcast to everyone.

Of the hundreds of crime investigations I have listened to over the past 5 years, this story has got to be one of the most senseless murders I have ever heard of. I have to believe that Hilton’s wife was somehow complicit in ALL of the crimes her husband committed. What happened to the two...Read full review »

Such a tragic story. I want to know more about how Hilty’s boy felt and/or feel now about what happened.

I absolutely loved this podcast. It’s not just a story, but an in-depth and fascinating dive into the people impacted by a shocking and horrific crime, as well as the evil person among them who tore their lives apart. The story’s pace is perfect, and it is one of the few true crime podcasts that...Read full review »

I became so wrapped up in this podcast! It presents the case from the perspective of many people. The people became so real to me because of the many interviews. It’s a heart-wrenching story that is truly stranger than fiction. Art Rascon is a fantastic narrator.

This was a good podcast, but I am not sure how you upload an incomplete episode for your finale.

I was hooked from the very beginning and shed a few tears for this poor family.

It’s easy to see a lot went in to this and the way it’s presented is perfect. I feel bad for McKays family and everyone impacted by this. The ripple effect has never been so apparent as it is here. I struggle to imagine how Paulette was prior to this. If this tragedy turned her into the person...Read full review »

This had real potential to be a great series, but it seemed to get caught up in weeds. It needed to be more concise. That whole interview with Hilton didn’t seem to add anything to the story. There was an interview with a the female FBI? agent?? (I think ) also didn’t add anything to the...Read full review »

Being from Houston, I’ve never heard of this case but I’m absolutely wrapped up in this podcast. Wow. Art Rascon does a fantastic job of narrating the podcast. Great work!

I am so thrilled I stumbled upon this gem. The narrator has obviously done this before, and the research done is outstanding! I’ve never heard of this story, there are no spoilers and is riveting and as a parent, very scary. I am still listening and hope to find more like this.

I listen to a lot of true crime, and a fair amount of true crime out of Texas. I was surprised to find a story relatively “recent” that I hadn’t heard covered by another Podcaster. I appreciated the research and the participation of people involved. I will say that the bonus episodes from the...Read full review »

This started out interesting and good. By Episode 7 (with all the Bonus episodes) I feel it starting to draaggg out. I couldn’t finish episode 7. This could have been a great 6-8 episode series with 1 bonus episode at the end. Better luck next time.

Not just anyone should be doing true crime reporting! So refreshing to have an actual reporter hosting. This podcast feels more professional in the producing and writing, respectful of the victims, and like the research was done thoroughly and ethically.

This could have been an extremely compelling podcast, but the way the producers chose to tell the story was very clunky and not at all cohesive. Original episodes engaging. But What is the Point of the last two episodes, especially the last one (i hope its the last one) where all we hear is a deranged narcissist go on & on about his “extraordinary” life. WHY give him any opportunity to further talk about himself?! Very disappointing....Read full review »
