“This is great for bringing my French up to date. Did just fine with my school exchange friend who I continued to share holidays with. But lack of use over the years means this smashing little daily dose of French keeps my ear attuned and my vocab up to date.
It's not an easy ride but...”Read full review »

“Je vous conseille d’écouter si vous avez envie d’améliorer votre aptitude à écouter. Aussi c'est drôle !
You have two attempts to understand a brief conversation then the text is explained in slow french so that you can fully understand exactly what the text means.”Read full review »

“Basically,I flop French and since the people talking only spoke in French without a translation, I could understand a bit but it did not really help me in any way.”

“It is entirely people speaking French, but doesn't teach a single thing. If you truly are a beginner then there is nothing at all beneficial for you here, short of just hearing people speak French an not explain what they're saying.”

“This is a great podcast for getting used to hearing French spoken at normal speeds. It is good for someone who has learned some French already and wants to accelerate their understanding.”

“I wish I'd discovered this podcast ages ago! I love the way Louis presents a short dialogue and then rather than translating, he talks you through each line (in French) using a variety of synonyms and sentence structures so that gradually you understand what's going on. The first time through...”Read full review »

“Perfect for "beginners" who already have a good grasp of basic French and want to practice listening comprehension. Short, entertaining conversations that he summarizes nicely using only French (spoken slowly). If you are a "beginner" in the sense that you want to learn French and are just...”Read full review »

“I love it, I have been listening this entire summer and have seen improvements in my comprehension while watching French Tv. The trick is to study vocab, it can be anything. Then listen to the podcast between 8 and 12 times each.”
“Is that a joke?
The 'genius', who made this podcast forgot to number the episodes. Great - when you download a language course, which gradual increases in difficulty, and then everything is muddled up randomly!!! It is a pity - because in the right order, this French course could be useful.
And...”Read full review »

What I like most is that everything is explained in French instead of the usual French-English translation--I think this helps with retention and helps you improve expression. “True it's not for beginners but for intermediate or advanced this is one of the best podcasts around. The stories link from week to week. There's a good combination of standard vocab, slang and expressions and the subjects are much more fun than the average.”
