Chosen by Steve to succeed him as Captain America in “Endgame” (2019). - Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier: Steve’s best friend growing up, member of Captain America’s WW2 squad, fell off a train during a mission, thought dead, brainwashed by Hydra, turned into The Winter Soldier, now has a metal arm. - S.H.I.E.L.D.: organization dealing with supernatural/super-human/alien threats to Earth. - Peggy Carter: An amazing woman. Was part of the U.S. army and involved in the Super Soldier programme, where she met Steve and they fell in love.  became a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D. - Lemurian Star (“the ship”): pirate ship that Cap & friends are sent to rescue agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. who were being held hostage. The special USB/hard-drive given to Steve by Fury held information that Natasha downloaded while on this ship and Fury couldn’t access (suspicious). - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013-2020): series, after incorporating the events of this movie in their second season, the series broke off from the official MCU but is still inspired by the Marvel Comics. - Helicarrier: giant airship, meant to be used as weapon against people who S.H.I.E.L.D consider threats, later intended to be used against people Hydra considers as threats. - Nick Fury: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., the person who assembled the original Avengers. - Hydra: “the science division” of the Nazis, main antagonists for Captain America & Co. during WW2. Now, hiding and working within S.H.I.E.L.D. like a parasite. - Arnim Zola: super smart science dude working for Hydra, recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. after the war, has his brain stored on multiple hard-drives, still loyal to Hydra. - Dr. Abraham Erskine (“the doctor”): German scientist and doctor who created the Super Soldier Serum, played by Stanley Tucci, appears in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). - Socovia Accords: as a result of the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Avengers are forced to sign a contract with the UN, barring them from responding to threats without the governments permission. - STRIKE team: S.H.I.E.L.D.’s equivalent of a SWAT team. - Brock Rumlow: works with Steve, turns out to be Hydra, tries to kill Sam, becomes "Crossbones", bad person.
