A great guggle act
Rich has been talking to himself, or himselves, on several podcasts, and this is the logical conclusion - Rich takes the straight man role, trying to keep things sober and well informed, and Ally is the anarchic, rude, and dangerous partner. It plays to Rich's strengths - improvised psychodrama and an ever-growing universe of back-references both real and surreal. Stunning work, hilarious and Mr Herring’s best work. He’s probably the only comedian, nay human capable of creating a podcast, with a 130 year old legend of the stage, Mr Ally Sloper..
