A supreme show. Great for doing back-to-backs. In-depth and always enlightening

Stopped in to check out the David Gilmour interview and left disappointed. The interviewers often interrupted him mid-sentence to expand on their own opinions and analysis. A frustrating listen.

It was a great chat you had with Steve Jones! Thanks!! The manner of Rockenteurs and people you have on is great, as well as some nuggets you get guests to reveal. Thanks guys

It’s a joy to listen to - and as others have said it’s often the ones who’s music you are not into that are the most entertaining. Who knew Joe Elliot and Brian Johnson would be amongst the best guests - and Johnny Marr could do a months worth of shows.

Many musicians open up in this podcast when they realize Guy and Gary have been there too. Always fun and a bunch of humor as well.

Absolutely brilliant, so many diverse guests with brilliant anecdotes that you won’t hear anywhere else. Please can I request you invite Gary Wallis on! Also I like the interjections from Guy and Gary, makes it feel more like a chat down the pub than an interview.

Terrific show with great guests! Also loved seeing you guys play with Nick in Seattle and Vancouver! ❤️🎸

Great podcast, with an immense reach and eclectic selection of highly influential musicians, producers and sound connoisseurs. Always a treat to listen to. Thank you, for all the inspiration. I just wish Guy and Gary were less typically ‘British’ in their constant need to throw in silly anecdotes...Read full review »

I listened to every episode since your amazing podcast started and I’ve loved each and every one. But last night I got to see you guys with Nick Mason’s Saucer Full of Secrets at the Glass House in Gateshead, which has an unbelievable sound system. OMG !!!! It was phenomenal!!! . The musicianship...Read full review »

Loved this show since it started and always fantastic angles on their chats with guests. But. hate to be anywhere near negative but, Guy is starting to grate with constant interruptions or trying to hard to thrown in funny’s which have become almost a hectoring towards the guests.

John Oates episode was great 👍though felt there’s definately more content for another episode - plenty left on the table there for another episode. Would love to hear more about the period when they had curry/smith/wolk in the band. Small wish list in no particular order; Steve ferrone One of...Read full review »

I do like this podcast but Guy needs to learn that interviewing involves asking somebody a question and then letting them answer. So often the interviewee is interrupted so that Guy can give his personal spin on whatever the question was about. He also answers his own questions as well as...Read full review »

Just listened to the Brian Auger episode and found it so irritating when Guy Pratt keeps endlessly butting in & talking over the guest, he even tried to answer a question posed to the guest until Gary chastised him . He loves the sound of his own voice, which leads to Pratt ruining a number...Read full review »

Better than a wank ! discovered that David Coverdale is the bollocks ! Thank you x The Brain Auger episode was like listening to the Goon show , really funny and hugely entertaining . This Podcast actually makes me appreciate LA gridlock

Did not expect much when I came across this podcast, but have been more than pleasantly surprised. A couple of observations: The behind the scenes folks, producers and promoters, are generally much more engaging and informative than the musicians. Surprisingly, amongst the musicians the...Read full review »

Stumbled across this podcast after seeing Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets tour in Oakland (brilliant!), Guy and Gary mentioned it from the stage. I probably never would be aware of it if it wasn’t for that. So grateful to have found it! They’re both very interesting on their own, but where...Read full review »

I recently discovered this podcast. I’m really glad I did, it’s now one of my favourite podcasts! Gary and Guy are great hosts and each interview is a joy to listen to! I’m enjoying listening to the older episodes and I’m slowly catching up! Keep up the great work Gary and Guy!

5* for the Duff episode especially and of course anything with DC! Better when Guy doesn’t take over (sorry!)

New to this podcast. Saw Mr Howe was the guest & as a lifelong Yes fan had to listen. Great chat. But why did you have to ask about Jon Anderson 😂 Anyway, I’ve now subscribed & am busy catching up with your back catalogue of shows & remarkable guests. Bring it on 😄

Enthusiastic conversation with and by industry people. Amusingly, Guy has spent years backing Dave Gilmour but thinks guitarists can just "sing and play right off the bat". In reality the bass is handed to the vocalist when a band forms to save finding one and also keeping staff costs...Read full review »

Great show, great guests. Would be five stars if Guy didn’t constantly interrupt and/or talk over Gary. Huge ignoramus.

Nice to hear inside info on British musical history from the icons of the industry. Even better recently since the hosts interrupt less and allow the guests to chat more.

I found this late and have been loving catching up - still 18 episodes to go. Great insight as it’s rockers talking to rockers. Have found myself dipping into music again or finding new music like Gary’s “waiting for the band” and Def Leppards Yeah album. Great job Gary & Guy

I’m a late comer to the podcast and am playing catch up whilst running. Double David Coverdale, Scott Gorham and Glenn Hughes. Also impressed by the broad spectrum of guests - great to hear that Gary and Guy are like minded in that music IS just that…Music. Please ask Ricky Warwick to be a guest.

Gary Kemp is a fantastic interviewer. So is Guy Pratt when he allows the guests to talk. Just a real shame there is so few women. I have counted twelve in a hundred and twenty four episodes. If they aren’t careful they’ll have to call it The Cockenteurs.

Fantastic podcast with two guys who were and still are in the middle of it. I love the episodes with iconic producers where they dig deep into music history (Hugh Padgham is my favourite). All of it spiced with a great sense of humour.

What a find this podcast was. Anyone with even a passing interest in the life and times of rock and pop need to get on board this train. Hosted with humour and knowledge by Gary and Guy, whose rapport and respect for their guests results in a brilliantly laid back yet fascinating series of podcasts.

First of all, I don’t agree with the reviewer who said Giles needs to calm down. I think he’s hilarious and often very insightful. Plus he’s a great bassist. Secondly, this is great. I happened upon this by pure chance when I saw a chat with Guy on Scott’s Bass Lessons and he dropped in a shameless plug. (Thanks Guy, you’re a leg-end). I only recently discovered this and have started right from the beginning. Into season 2, trying to get through them all as the guests are fascinating. But can’t do any more. Can get a bit Smashy and Nicey at times, but it’s a small price to pay for some great interviews. A very relaxed and enjoyable podcast with a high calibre of guests.

Consistently great guests who open up to Gary’s questions. Guy seems more interested in hearing himself speak which can distract from the otherwise strong content.
