Like a bedtime story
The Dynasty Warriors games is how I leared about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel. I put it on my to-read list. With a friend interested in chinese period drama in he dynastic setting, I thought a good audiobook for car trips would be awesome. This is not an audiobook, it is not a performace of the novel. Nor is it anythinbg like a radio drama. Instead, this feels more like a bedtime story, and that's a good thing! I still plan on reading the novel, but I feel that this podcast is preparing me to really comprehend the work.Read full review »

I’ve been looking around for audio concerning the period of the Three Kingdoms and this is the best there is. John gives a very natural and interesting presentation of the book with proper pronunciation of the characters. Best of all, he does this ad free. I look forward to his every release!
