Like a bedtime story
The Dynasty Warriors games is how I leared about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel. I put it on my to-read list. With a friend interested in chinese period drama in he dynastic setting, I thought a good audiobook for car trips would be awesome. This is not an audiobook, it is not a performace of the novel. Nor is it anythinbg like a radio drama. Instead, this feels more like a bedtime story, and that's a good thing! I still plan on reading the novel, but I feel that this podcast is preparing me to really comprehend the work.Read full review »

John Zhu is truly accomplishing what he set out to do, which is bridge the cultural gap and bring this Chinese classic to life. John is an entertaining reader who brings out the personality of all the divergent characters. Truly great work.
