A great podcast for a great novel
It's partly an audiobook, partly a history lesson, and great in how it handles both. John comes off like that one cool teacher you reminisce about years later, his understanding of the material is matched only by his ability to make it comprehensible to the listener. If you have any interest in Luo Guanzhong's novel, you can't do much better than this podcast.Read full review »

I’ve been looking around for audio concerning the period of the Three Kingdoms and this is the best there is. John gives a very natural and interesting presentation of the book with proper pronunciation of the characters. Best of all, he does this ad free. I look forward to his every release!

Unlike illiad or epic of gilgemesh (which is not such an epic), romance of the three kingdoms was written in recent antiquity.
