“If you like Vikings or exciting adventure stories, this podcast is definitely worth a listen.
I began listening to this podcast as someone who had only once read a saga from start to finish (Eric the Red, and that was aged 15). Not only was I bamboozled by all the names, and the frequent references to Christianity, I struggled to fully appreciate its narrative style as it was so different to texts I'd read before.
This podcast makes each Saga easily accessible and thoroughly enjoyable. Plot points explained, hidden subtext explored, connections to the wider context.
I enjoy the discussions on different readings of the texts, and love the humour and passion that the two presenters bring to each episode.
