“I love informational/educational science-y material presented in an entertaining way. Unfortunately, in podcast land, it's often presented by non-experts and pseudoscience gets mixed in with actual science with zero recognition by the people presenting it (it's OK, they're not experts!), so it gets hella irritating, fast. Because Dr. Sydnee McElroy is an actual doctor, and her husband is a lovable non-expert, we get a little of both, thankfully nested firmly in actual medical knowledge. My field (physical anthropology) has its roots in pseudoscience, just like medicine does, and I'm familiar with some of the topics covered thus far, particularly trepanation. I can attest that Sydnee and Justin got it pretty much spot on, and made it hilarious to listen to! Good job, guys!”Read full review »
