“Up until recently this podcast split each topic into its own individual file. Given that the discussions invariably go on too long (the initial story may be interesting, but the phone calls tend to be insipid at best), this was a great format - if the droning got to you, just click fast-forward once and you're on to the next story. It also meant you could easily skip a segment that didn't interest you. Now, you're stuck with the whole radio show. Tired of the phone calls blaming Obama (or Bush) for the problem being discussed? Too bad, you're pretty much stuck with it.
What's especially odd is the reasons given for doing this make absolutely no sense, unless you're recording these podcasts on cassette tape. "No need to click on to the next story" - when was there ever a need to do anything to go from one story to the next? My iPod just goes from one file to the next... heck, my circa 2000 Creative player even managed to do that!
I tried the new format for the past couple weeks, but now I'm just a former listener. The good parts aren't worth the new effort needed to get past the poor parts. There's plenty of other things I'd rather listen to.”Read full review »

“I'm been listening to the back catalogue of these and can honestly state that they are brilliant.
My only criticism would be that I preferred it when they included the episode numbers so I could order them in to transmission order as often there are forward previews of what is coming up or...”Read full review »
