Worrying in more than one way
I like the idea of questioning retrieved memories, but he believes the family without really questioning them, and there are (the usual trope) inferences made: “other parents saw nothing wrong”, “her brother saw nothing happen”. He also twists things a bit to infer innocence - he mentions the previous allegation when the father was a teacher - but it was multiple allegations. The letters from the daughter - and what the podcaster inferred from them - where very off too. Men who abuse girls often characterise it as love. We don’t need another satanic panic, but we don’t need to dismiss allegations without questioning either.
