“I find this reporting highly concerning. Trying to “debunk” a child sexual assault case is Waco and causes widespread harm. You are sympathising with the CONVICTED perpetrators because you believe them over the victim. Many perpetrators seem like “normal, nice” people. And many victims seem mentally unwell.. which is probably a result of the abuse. This series instils fear into other victims. It’s terrifying to think, “maybe people won’t believe me, they’ll call me crazy and make an entire podcast trying to debunk my accusations.”
YUCK
If you think there may be a miscarriage of justice.. then conduct fair and unbiased investigative journalism.
And you must make it CLEAR that you empathise with child sexual abuse victims and support their safety.
