She was only 15
Shamima Begum was only 15 years old when she went to Syria. I don’t believe she fully understood the barbaric nature of Isis. I believe she was presented with a picture of what an ideal life she could live. She was groomed and as a British citizen she should have the right to a fair trial and to present her case to the British courts. I don’t believe she is a murderer. She may not be able to say what she wants as she is still living in Syria and her life might be in danger. Let’s not forget she has already lost three children. That can’t be easy and she may even be suffering mentally. We need to hear her story not have a trial be media. I enjoyed listening to this podcast.

More reviews of Shamima Begum: The Blame Game
Very repetitive. Not much analysis. Listened to whole podcast and still none the wiser re broader context. Too much of the lead presenter whose style is communicate if every single word is of the same importance. When listening it feels like you are being shouted at. Opportunity missed.
