Unjust Accusations
Even after listening to Episode 3, where the author emphasizes numerous times that those text messages weren't present at the time of the trial, it is clear that the deceased person had deep personal issues, which might have been due to her age but were inevitable. The whole podcast highlights how the police wrongly charge people to have a single suspect and demonstrate to the victim's family and society that they are heroes. In my opinion, John is not the killer. John was lucky; there are too many people out there who were charged by the police too quickly just to keep them occupied at work. Even though he lost years of his life in jail and his reputation, he was fortunate not to become another victim of police incompetence.Read full review »

Once again Hedley Thomas takes us deep into the intricacies of a cold case. Another brilliant example of investigative journalism which may assist in resolving Shandee’s murder by unearthing information and encouraging people to come forward who may know something. Well done Hedley and team.
