Decent philosphy breakdown but very one sided
To quote the most recent episode about A Cabin in the Woods, "Jared, stop being a wet blanket." Listen to any of the podcasts and you will soon notice that Jared leads not only as the moderator but as a pseudo-dictator of the entire podcast. He contantly talks over the other commentators, while often delivering the most bland and basic points behind the movies. Yes he delivers his opinion in a technical and specific way as well as explaining the philosophy, but it's his way or no way. Having listened to every podcast from the start, it was finally gotten to the point where his dominating attitude muffles potential of the charismatic guests who have their own opinions that are just as developed and intelligent as well developed as Jared's and almost always for interesting and creative. The day Jared says, "I think you've changed my mind." will be the day the podcast becomes substantially better. While debates do not need to come to synthesis every time, often the discussion is the point, Jared's attitude in cutting others off, speaking louder, and always having the last word would lead one to believe that there must always be one correct point of view and its his.Read full review »
