“I'm a Speech Pathologist with a specialty in early childhood development and a mother to a 2.5 year old. I'm loving this podcast for a variety of reasons: 1) the host, Denaye, is easy to listen to- she's clear, concise, and well-organized; 2) she's the perfect mix of evidence-based practice + real-life, practical suggestions (and she has the creds to back up her advice); 3) the topics she discusses touch on so many things I'm interested in: minimalism, motherhood, the importance of outdoor and risky play in all weather, mindfulness, montessori, just to name a few.
I appreciate that she really does her research on topics. For example, on the food-related podcast I just listened to, she referenced Ellen Sattrr who is a well-known expert in the field of feeding therapy (I do feeding therapy and was happy to hear advice I myself would give to parents in therapy sessions).
I enjoy this podcast as much as my other two favorite parenting podcasts: Unruffled by Janet Lansbury & Your Parenting Mojo by Jen Lumanlan. Definitely worth a listen!”Read full review »

“Dr. Barahona's podcast and website offer the best of 2 worlds: advice that feels like it's coming from a friend with similar interests and issues, but that you know is actually an expert. She is my #1 go-to for parenting tips!”Read full review »
