A podcast that keeps me inspired to learn more about China
This is a great podcast for anyone with any level of interest in China, or in current affairs generally, since their shows necessarily discuss China within an international context. The guests on the show are always of the highest quality and have included leading academics, journalists, writers, filmmakers and many others, and the topics discussed range widely enough to allow China to be seen for the many-faceted thing that it is. The show's greatest strength, though, are its hosts, who bring knowledge and wisdom, but most of all a real passion to understand China and to share this understanding with their listeners. Their obvious strong friendship, and the warmth and humor which they bring to the show makes it a real joy to listen to. Finally, it is worth noting the 'recommendations' section at the end of the podcast, in which the hosts and guests share anything that they have come across recently which they think others might benefit from or enjoy, China-related or not. I've found this of fantastic benefit to my wider cultural life, and a really great feature.Read full review »
