Best in Show
I’m super-picky about how I spend my podcast time. Slate Culture Gabfest is the best in the game. They don’t waste a lot of time on extraneous chit-chat, yet they clearly know each other well and are seasoned pros. I alway learn something new and they always offer fresh insights on things I either care about or I didn’t know I would care about (even if from time-to-time I can feel like I’m at an Ivy League grad cocktail party — not that there’s anything wrong with that, as Seinfeld would say).
