“I only started listening to this podcast yesterday, but it stirred up something in me. It's a sleep-aid that uses boredom to softly smother our racing thoughts, but there's more to it. First, there are the hilarious guided meditations which are irreverently executed in a Coach McGuirk-like way. And then there are the stories. They are soothingly disorienting like the second act of a movie that never figured out its ending. At will, the author uses his powers to initiate our selective hearing using content that sounds like it was generated by a computer or a tank of manatees; it follows the logical rules of syntax and conversation but completely disregards meaningful content. Because of the natural pacing and topical words you are tricked into thinking you are listening to a real story. And the creativity in each episode is unfettered and absurd, similar to when forgotten events and memories pop in our dreams with no particular logic.
