Great idea, poor execution.
I really want to like this podcast. It just doesn't seem like the host cares about creating a high quality product for his guests or their fans. He seems more interested in selling ebooks and acquiring Patreon supporters than creating good content. Linus has been able to get some very interesting guests on his show. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to do much research prior to interviewing them. In fact, I'd be surprised if he does more than 10 minutes of background research before having guests on the show. He doesn't seem to know anything about them and tends to ask very basic and shallow questions about their journeys. Many of his questions are just him trying to confirm some preconceived notion. I often find myself embarrassed for the guests. The podcasts are poorly executed and frustratingly sales oriented. Linus, you have a good opportunity here. Please, get a better mic, read up on interviewing skills, and do some background research on your guests. You might also try standing while recording. Other reviews are correct, you sound like you're half asleep on the podcast. Sorry for the harsh review. I really think you can do better.Read full review »

I highly recommend the podcast (and book(s)) for cruisers, would-be cruisers,...Read full review »

Linus, give great practical details along descriptions of the many legs of his sail from Louisiana to the South Pacific. Including, crossings, anchorages, land/island points of interest.
