Matt and Andy, Thank you!
Having listened to Matt Mira since the early days of the Nerdist podcast and then his fantastic James Bonding podcast with Matt Gourley, I would hear his Star Trek references peppered throughout. In my heart of hearts, I knew this day would come and I'm so very glad it did. While you might not find the deep dive of Star Trek behind the scenes lore that you would on a cast like Mission Log, The Next Conversation has two elements that make it an excellent listen. First, Matt's co-host Andrew Secunda is relatively unfamiliar with TNG. His fresh perspective and theories on character are insightful and hilarious. This leads to the second advantage of the podcast, the ability of the hosts to balance comedy, criticism and lore references. Many Star Trek podcasts done by fans and for fans are trapped by their own obsession with the lore and end up being more of a read off from a Memory Alpha page. In closing, if you need a funny knowledgeable Star Trek podcast, this is absolutely the one you're looking for. This podcast gets 5 out of 5 Andys.Read full review »

The only thing wrong with Matt Mira doing Star Trek podcast is that it took this long for Matt Mira to do Star Trek podcast.

Matt and Andy are barely able to stay on topic and it makes this podcast all the more endearing. Don't change a thing.Read full review »
