Really liking this podcast. It’s so interesting to look back at the 90s through a more inclusive lens.

Bikini Kill were totally punk rock, as good as any of the early punk bands and so exciting to see play live. They rocked! Riot Grrrl produced some of the best bands and music in the 90’s. Those bands got regular air play on KPSU here in Portland. Finally OPB jumps on the bandwagon……..30 years...Read full review »

This podcast is perfection! Well researched and well narrated. The ideal balance between nostalgia critique and looking to the future. I hope it will inspire others the way all these artists inspired me. The very best of the PNW.

This music was so important to me as a kid living in a small conservative town in the early 90s. Well researched, good interviews and that fabulous music we all enjoyed in the late late 80’s to 90’s. I remember these grrl bands and had the privilege of seeing most of them in Portland. Probably at Satyricon. Thank you for such a great podcast.

I’m a grad student from Portland, and my current research/creative practice investigates gender dynamics in contemporary rock music culture. That being the case, I’m thrilled that this podcast goes beyond the basic history of riot grrrl and engages with the movement on a deeper, more theoretical...Read full review »
