I listened to this podcast hoping to hear a recap about every episode to fill in the blanks and mention things I might have missed. Too much time was spent talking about the production and the set and the actors IMO. I still listened but I kept wanting the podcast to talk about what transpired...Read full review »

I enjoyed the show so much but the podcast is so unintelligent by comparison. The female host (Angelica?) is almost unlistenable. I understand the virtue-signal reasoning in choosing her but it takes away from the conversations and even from the show. Stopping listening so I can enjoy re-watching.

It was a much better book than a show but I watched the show twice. It was well done (the show) and even though I really disliked some of the creative choices I see why the show runners did so for the reimagining. The hosts are odd. Explaining Miranda as …. Struggles as a black female artist…....Read full review »

A thoughtful, sensitive, inspiring podcast about a thoughtful, sensitive, inspiring show.

Hey, the TV series was good. I liked it. And the book was good. I read it when it came our in 2014. This podcast however, seemed more like friends talking amongst themselves with in-jokes and less informative for the general listener.

I enjoyed the podcast, but I never want to hear the word “collaborate” again.

I absolutely loved Station Eleven (the show) and was immediately interested in how it was made during the pandemic. I waited until I had seen all the episodes before I read too much because I was wary of spoilers. (I only wish I had noticed this podcast sooner.) The tension of the...Read full review »

Big mistake in having one host who didn’t read the book. Especially glaring in episode 9 when the author came on.

The constant cursing and totally gratuitous use of the F bomb is grossly unprofessional. Then you have the constant woke virtue signaling—it’s eye rolling amateur hour. A word of advice, Angelica: It’s not about you. I loved this series, but the host of the podcast ruined a lot of its magic...Read full review »

Angelica and Patrick do a magnificent job of adding richness and detail to what is my favorite show of 2022. Also enjoy the cast and production members whom they bring on to add additional insights and context to a particular episode!

Watched the show and knew there was something special about. Listened to the podcast to get insight and was delighted. Thank you for that. Now reading the book and finding it very satisfying. Looking forward to more from these folks!

Just like the show I have not wanted to get to the tenth episode of this podcast. The conversations have been fun and enlightening. The show is a feeling that will stay with me for a long time. So beautiful and I know I will go back it someday to take in again, maybe when this is all over. It has...Read full review »

I watched show, then read book and now listening to the podcast. I find it really interesting in that order as I am learning about the thought processes that led to the show being different than the book. Fascinating to listen to. And I say that as someone who generally always reads the book...Read full review »

I have such a fuller idea of the artistry and collaboration that made Station Eleven so impactful! I’m getting so much more out of watching the show by seeing the passion, respect and trust that was involved in every facet of the show!! I know in the future I’ll have more insight about the full...Read full review »

Thank you to everyone involved in this production of Station Eleven. I loved learning about the actors collaborating and the production team deciding to produce a real graphic novel rather than just a prop. Kudos.

First of all the podcasts are way behind the show! It’ll have been over for almost a month by the time they catch up lol. And then there’s Anjelica… I wanna know how it’s possible that Somerville didn’t correct her pronunciation of "Keersten" from "Kursten" the first time it...Read full review »

Check out some of the other reviews for a similar take. Angelica is off putting. I have no problem with a candid conversation, but the cussing is distracting. Ironically, logistics really failed in the distribution of the podcast. Episodes of the podcast were not delivered at the right time to match the HBO Max show releases. For everyone who couldn’t get enough of station eleven: intelligent (and it seems, empathetic) people talking about beauty, loss and creativity in this book and the series. Especially enjoyed how the time-lapses in the shooting ended up creating these two/three worlds apart!

This is good stuff as it should be given how great the novel and the series are. It really goes deep into the substance of all the production; the acting , the design of the show, and the writing. I enjoyed the few podcasts I listened to. The show is good. I tend to always prefer the original book over the movie/TV version, and the same is true for me with Station Eleven. I think the initial joy of reading of such an engaging book is hard to match.

It states in the description it will be updates after shows but it is several behind. Would love to listen but can’t because there isn’t content!

Angelica’s gratuitous use of cuss words is a distraction that throws off the tone of the show. It would be useful to more closely connect directors insights with an explanation of the plot.

I’m really loving the show and the podcast. I am so intrigued by the show, and appreciate the podcast! A simple request to coach everyone on the podcast to pronounce “Keer-sten” correctly. (Not Kuhr-sten or Kri-sten) I share her name, and mispronunciation of the vowel sound is totally coachable!

This is a good podcast. As someone who never read the book it is helping me navigate what’s happening early in the show. However we’re on episode five released on streaming and we’re just now getting episode two covered in the podcast. I’m not gonna keep listening if the show doesn’t catch up
