Compelling presenter but he's just not committed to podcasting
I'm only giving this a 3 when it should be a 5. Let me write at the outset. I am a big fan of this man's work. I think he's the most compelling political commentator we have and his TV work is especially brilliant. But like many big name latecomers to podcasting, Steve Richards isn't quite committed to a regular podcast and I think that shows a disregard for the listeners. Obviously someone as talented as this man is is going to be very busy. In which case, don't do a podcast. They're a huge commitment, too many people now embark on making them not realising just how much time they take to produce and that may be what's happened here. As excellent as the show is when it's about, and this goes for all podcasts, I'm not going to be making a regular commitment to a show when it's evident the presenter's heart isn't in it. Too many times now we've had apologies for irregular shows from Steve Richards and back in July we even got the 'this is S2 spiel' and then we've had nothing since. It's a shame because Richards is an outstanding talent. My advice would be focus on your other work. Don't do a podcast if you can't make a regular commitment to the show's fans. We deserve better.Read full review »

This is an excellent podcast. Steve has an excellent presentation style and provides a level of context which helps to make politics accessible for all. Highly recommended.
