4 years of listening to this and still I feel like a novice. So much to learn so much to fear. I will not live forever and will not see the conclusion, but isn’t that the point of this? I’ve my trowel and will pass it on to the next generation.

Prior to finding this podcast, I had developed my own obsession on my daily walk of attempting to fill in two holes that had appeared in the gravel path with loose stones using only my feet to kick / shepherd the stones into the holes. I only allow myself one stone per hole per day. I have...Read full review »

This has been helping me sleep for a while now, which is a very good thing by the way. Amazing what a singley balled man can achieve.

I now associate Richard Herrings voice with sleep so I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing ... we’ll see at the next live rhlstp we’ve been waiting for since March 🤣

I have learnt a great deal about stone clearing from this podcast. I will never look at a field or stone in the same way again. I laugh out loud at almost every fingle episode! I’ve had to ban myself from listening to these while my daughter sleeps due to waking her up with my laughing.

What is this nonsense? It is a paranoid man in a field. There is no such thing as the so-called ‘Stone Stasi’! We don’t exist
DeadYankee via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/30/20
If the video stone clears (twitch.tv/rkherring) are like great short stories, then surely the audio ones are great poetry.

Richard may have exposed us, but we have a lot to learn. Fetone the stone

I deducted a star as there’s often too much talk and not enough stone clearing.

This is literally art, witness a man (who is not president of the USA) parade his apparent decline into dementia...in digital podcast form. Great stuff.
maybrick2001 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/05/20
A great podcast for those new to the ancient art of stone clearing, as Richard Herring outlines and discusses the basic rules and techniques of the field. However, the more experienced and professional stone clearers may find some of his efforts bordering on amateurish.

The Jack Hargreaves of Stone clearing. Bob Ross fanboy is wrong.

I listen to this whilst eating my dinner. Usually I have sausage and mash, sometimes I don’t though. Always with gravy when I do though.
david42Q via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 01/09/20
Honestly I fell asleep before the end, Richard’s hazy voice waffling in the void, a classic of the genre.

If you thought playing snooker against yourself and commentating on it whilst shouting at a washing machine beeping was a bit "left field" you aint heard nothing yet with Stone Clearing (with Richard Herring). I haven’t listened to any of the podcasts, I’m only here as Richard tweeted that the reviews are impressive and indeed they are. As I’ve not listened to the podcast though, I cannot do a review but this cup of tea, Yorkshire Tea, one sugar and a splash of semi skimmed milk is really nice.

This takes me back to my childhood in the ‘70s when I would wander around the house with a portable cassette player and mic, aimlessly gibbering all day, fabricating a complex story involving endless nonsense rules and conveying a completely unnecessary paranoia. It’s fun to listen to Richard and...Read full review »

A marvellous insight into an ancient rite. Good to know there are people keeping these important traditions alive. Might have a dabble myself. I picked a few stones up the other day to see how it felt. A jogger spotted me doing it so I had to throw the stones as though I was picking them up to...Read full review »
