Love this podcast, and I don’t mind ad breaks, but I wanted to note that one of the Hotels.com ads I’ve been getting recently starts off with the loud screaming of a child in a meltdown. I don’t know how much control the podcast has over specific ads used in the breaks, but I just wanted to note...Read full review »

An obscene number of ads and ad breaks. Feels like 20 adds in a 30ish minute show.

I love the other podcasts produced in this universe but unfort the ads in the middle make this something I literally can’t listen to when sleeping which was the whole reason I played these podcasts.

I find the background music very distracting. While the occasional sound effects are OK, the background music is just not necessary. Kathryn Nicolai is a wonderful writer and storyteller! Her voice is soothing and lyrical. I don’t understand the need for background music.

These beautiful stories help me dreaming myself away somewhere soft and cosy, away from anxiety and everything painful. By now, the characters and places have become so dear and familiar to me that hearing from them kind of feels like coming home. This charming little village feels like a place...Read full review »

This podcast single handedly made me look forward to bedtime. The combination of the voice, the story and the music makes this podcast unique and a must have for me. I also I can’t stress enough how wonderful the music is and how much it enhances the story telling. Sometimes I find myself weeping...Read full review »

I listen to this podcast at home after the day is over, it’s so calming and I love the stories. The ads are very loud though, it would make it even better if the ads weren’t there. Love this podcast, keep making more!

I love listening to these wonderful stories. The recurring setting and characters make me feel like I know them and am part of them, almost list imaginary friends. Kathryn Nicolai, the host, speaks with warmth and joy. Highly recommended.

I’ve been in the Village of Nothing Much since the very beginning. And I’m so happy to see the community grow in this way. Thank you, Katherine and Bob, for the work you do 🥰

Listening to this makes me cry. But not happy. Like, devastated. I don’t think that’s healthy. And it’s been happening since I started listening to you, so I’m gonna have to unfollow and unsubscribe. You just lost me.

Kathryn, what a great talent to share! Thank you so much for creating the Village, the sleep podcast, and the meditations. I am already sleeping through the night (lifelong insomniac) and finding daily joy and ease in your stories and messages. I read an unkind review and I'm really sorry...Read full review »

I love this because it is like the bed time story but made so you don’t fall asleep. And then you can finally here the end of the story’s to. All the story’s sound scape’s are great and it is so relaxing to hear them and they go with the story and what is happening perfectly. Keep up the great...Read full review »

This is the kind of the escape that my heart and mind didn’t even know it needed. Thank you for weaving these beautiful stories so mundane and rooted in the seasons that it calms and uplifts my spirit. Love love love listening 💓

I want to live in this village created by this talented team. Thank you for providing a slice of serenity and decency from which we can partake. What a lovely oasis in the midst of our arid compartmentalized modern lives.

i love this podcast it helps so much with sleeping, but i can't afford to subscribe to every podcast to remove ads. i don't mind listening to ads, but there has to be a better way to deliver them! for example, reading the ads in the host's voice without blasting annoying ads and...Read full review »

I don’t agree with the reviews that this distracts from the bed time version-before I discovered this I used to listen to NMH on 1.5x speed during the day so this is perfect. Keep on keeping on Kathryn!!!

I love the NMH stories, but I can’t see what you get in addition if you pay for the Premium subscription. The Village of Nothing Much stories just consist of stories from the original NMH podcast, grouped together in threes and set to music. Ad-free doesn’t make any difference because I get no...Read full review »

I love these stories but the new ones definitely don’t make me want to sleep last time. Each little story is the same length as my bus journey to work and it keeps me calm, focussed and stops my mind wandering into what ifs and racing ahead into the day.
